Fish Boy

The Fish Boys are the Librarians of the depths, their hybridity allows them to breath on land but they almost always prefer to stay in the subaqueous stacks amongst the books. The Fish Boys all have individual characteristics and personalities.

This Fish Boy fell in love with one of the birds that visit the pool. He followed the daring aerialist all the way into the deepest, darkest part of the forest and set up camp amongst the roots and leaves. As his eyes became accustomed to the light they began to change and his scales grew darker. Until he captures the bird's heart he can't return to the watery library.

Fish Boy is made from beautiful, thick, soft cotton from Himla of Sweden. His snowy white costume is hand embroidered with light blue scales. Fish Boy's face is made with wool felt and sashiko thread.
