'White Rose'
an original painting by Nicki MacRae.

Width: 12 x 12" (width = 9", height = 12", depth = 1/2")
Acrylic on canvas.
Completed May 2008.

The background of this painting is a gothic melange of black reds and puples creating a subtle moodiness. The rose has been painted in white, laying on multiple thin layers of paint to create a fragile and luminous effect.

This painting is on a box frame stretched canvas with the staples on the rear of the frame for neatness. The painting is ready to hang and requires no framing. It has been coated with a layer of protective, non-yellowing matt artists varnish, and is signed and dated on the rear.

I am based in the Highlands of Scotland, UK, but will ship worldwide - please see below for shipping prices. Please note that if you are outside of the EU you will be responsible for any taxes or charges incurred by importing the painting into your country or state.

All paintings are sent very carefully packaged for protection and with insurance against loss or damage in the postal system, this is included in the stated shipping price.

I am very careful about how I package paintings for sale. I first wrap them in bubble wrap, then add a thick cardboard sleeve for extra protection. Last the whole package is put into a plastic mailing sack. I always ship with insurance, and this is included in the quoted shipping cost. I'm sorry some of my larger paintings I have not yet found an economical way to ship outside of the UK (if you love something so much you must have it I can get shipping quotes for you, however these are likely to be very high). I prefer payment by PayPal, but do get in touch if you wish to pay by another method and we'll see what we can sort out :-).
