Similar to our Thanksgiving Turkey Hat but this is an entirely different pattern design. We made ours out of left over bits of autumn colored yarns and lots of Fun Fur. The turkey is designed with beautiful stitches though—just in case you decide not to use the fancy type yarns! Either way—

I designed this stocking with something particular in mind for Christmas. Then I told my mother and she mimicked me with her own version so even better—two stockings included in one pattern.

The striped stocking is super easy. The diamond pattern one is a bit more advanced because you are working with two strands and changing colors. The knitting in both though is just basic knits and purls. Both have simple crocheted trim that is optional but highly recommended. We offer you our color versions but this is a really good project for using up all of those left over pieces of yarn that are too beautiful to throw away.

When I was a little girl I begged my mother every year to make a gingerbread house. She was overrun with her own holiday baking list so eventually, my aunt and uncle in another state had one delivered. Not just a gingerbread house but a gingerbread house full of cookies when I opened the roof. I was elated!!

I ate the cookies but I kept the gingerbread house on a shelf in my room for years. It wasn’t just a decoration but a prize. Victory over my mothers refusals.

When I was a teenager they came to visit. “Oh look! That looks just like the one we sent you when you were a little girl!” My mother grimaced, “that IS the one you sent her when she was a little girl.” Fond memories—now forever preserved in knit.

Perfect to keep the hot tea warm. Even better for keeping a steaming pot of cider or cocoa hot on a cold winter’s night.

Sized for adults but simple yarn and needle adjustments it could easily be sized for children as well. We have free instructions for resizing knitted hats. I try to send them out with every hat order but if I forget just ask - its free.

TWO PATTERNS
Festive and Fun for the holiday season.

This is pretty easy knitting - knits and purls - with easy crochet trim.

The knitting with this pattern is pretty easy. If you have your knits and purls down you shouldn't have any problems. Its a good opportunity to work on circular or double pointed needles. The trimmings are basic, easy crochet. This is a really fun project to make.

9. Paper Chain Scarf - we ran out of room for photos but you can find the photo in our store under scarves. Super easy, super cute pattern. Great for beginners or quick gift items. This is a perfect project for using up all those great yarns in your scrap bin that are too beautiful to throw away and not enough to do anything with.
