LaLa! shoes

Welcome to LaLa! Shoes :)

We are two friends working together: Daria is an industrial designer living in Zagreb, Croatia, who loves to work with all kinds of natural materials and Kristina is an interactive designer and lives in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, near Paris, France. Daria chose to design mostly with wool felt because she instantly fell in love with this wonderful material – it is beautiful to work with and has lots of great properties.
100% wool felt is soft, but keeps shape well, it is very comfortable and healthy to wear (absorbs perspiration well, doesn't soak easily, keeps the natural body temperature as all wool materials do), doesn't fray, it is flame resistant, it is a biodegradable, light, soil-resisting, renewable and eco-friendly raw material and an inspiration in itself!
Too much? Well, we said she was in love :)

Daria both designs and produces all the LaLa! Shoes models and patterns herself and Kristina is taking care of all the business, promotion and web-design, so we make a great friend/business duo!

About LaLa! Shoes:

One day Daria found out (from friends, and then read a lot about it to understand the matter, as you probably did too) what Kristina already knew – that babies need to walk in soft-soled footwear for better muscle and balance development (as pediatricians suggest). The felt was winking at her and – everything fell into place! We just have a few rules – to work only with 100% wool felt that has the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certificate (or other 100% natural materials, like linen), we want the shoes to be comfortable and healthy and we want them to look good! In other words, we want to put all our efforts into something we believe in, we shall be proud of and we enjoy doing.
