Über mich

Hi, I'm Rowena. I studied printed textiles at Edinburgh College of Art and since graduating have spent the last few years as a freelance illustrator specialising in collage and photomontage.

Red Ruby Rose is the result of my yearning for a more tactile creative outlet away from my increasingly digital working life. I love making these clutch purses and am really happy to be incorporating my own collage/photographic images onto fabric and leather using exciting new digital advances in textile and leather production.

Hallo, ich bin Rowena aus Bristol in England. Ich habe am Edinburgh Art College in Schottland Textildruck studiert. Seit meinem Abschluss vor einigen Jahren arbeite ich als freiberufliche Illustratorin mit der Spezialisierung auf Collage und Fotomontage.

Red Ruby Rose ist das Ergebnis meiner Sehnsucht nach einer greifbaren kreativen Ausdrucksmöglichkeit abseits meines anwachsenden digitalen Arbeitslebens. Ich liebe es, die “Clutch Bags” (Abendhandtaschen) und “Clutch Purses” (Geldbeutel) zu kreieren. Und es macht mir Freude, meine eigenen Collagen und Fotomotive auf die Textil- und Lederstoffe zu übertragen. Hierfür nutze ich neueste digitale Techniken im Textil- und Lederdruck.
