I want to be a barefoot artist living somewhere in the desert...that is my goal in the next couple of years. I have found something I love to do and am good at. I love creating jewelry and want to have the time design lots more from all the ideas rattling around in my head. I usually think up the name of each piece and then work the jewelry around that which is much more fun than the other way round :-) I have my own unique way of creating a piece as I do not attach any component directly to the bracelet/necklace chain as others do because this creates a piece of jewelry that is stiff in appearance. Each bead and charm is attached first to a small ring (called a jumpring) which is then attached to the bracelet or necklace. This makes every bead and charm an individual element and as a result my jewelry moves naturally and freely when worn. I am self taught, I have never attended a jewelry class in my life, and do not plan to either. I like the results of my work so why fix it if it ain't broken :-)
