I am a potter, mom, wife, on-again/off-again vegan, potter, student, eclectic pagan, potter, stubborn, persistent, loyal, potter, adventure lover, potter, avid reader, chocolate lover, potter, with a love of psychology. And a bunch of other stuff too. Oh, and I really was born on Halloween, in the year of the dragon, so I am kinda hard to live with.
My pottery is fired in a gas kiln. I prefer high-fired ware (cone 10 and up) because I feel it makes the work more durable, but it may just be because I am too lazy to get a kiln full of low-fired pots ready to go.
My carved porcelain work is all original freehand, my ritual pottery is thrown when I am in a tranquil mood, and functional ware is what I throw when I really should be doing housework.
I hope you like it, because I enjoyed every minute of making it! Be sure to look for my mark on each item. (It's an ant.)
My husband, Danny, is also a potter for this shop. His vessels are influenced by tribal African and Asian traditional works.
My son Jens makes the athames and metal work, usually from recycled items. Ritual items made with care by those who love the work are the best!
I really hope you take the time to browse through my shop!
