My name is Zee, I am a 35 years old mom of 2 little boys, the proprietress and the creative soul of Pixie Blossoms shop.

I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil and I came to live in The USA in 2002. I am married to an American citizen and we live in Northern Arizona.

I have always enjoyed to make things for me and for my family since a long time. When I was a kid I loved to participate in art projects at school and make crafts with my mom. She and my grandma used to sew clothings for me sometimes and I used to watch them working on the sewing machine. I've been sewing bags since 2003. My mom taught me the basics on sewing but all the other stuff I've learned with books and over the Internet which is a great source of inspiration. I am pretty much a self taught seamstress and designer.

I was trained as an elementary teacher at a Technical High School when I was a teen and I have worked in different jobs, from first grade teacher to office clerk. I have graduated in life and motherhood althought I learn something new every day of my life. I have plans to attend fashion/apparel design college in 2009, because it is never too late to start!

My style reflects my brazilian/portuguese heritage. I love colors and intricate designs/ patterns on fabrics. I enjoy every minute creating products for this shop. I would never sell anything that I would not buy for myself or family. I don't follow fashion trends, but some of them will inspire me, like boho chic and japanese zakka. I like to create, to experiment with materials like jute, linen, cotton laces, etc. I like the mix of modern with vintage. Every single item is made by me with no help when my children are in the school. All items are designed by me from scratch. I don't use other people's patterns.

I make sure all my items are well crafted packed accordingly, so it will reach you in the best condition possible. and I take hours to make them, sometimes days. My prices are fair, I will never compete with cheap mass produced prices out there. I do value my handmade work and if a client is satisfied, I am very happy about it.
